The location of the lovingly renovated holiday homes Casa Flor de Sal and Casa Sterna is unique: as soon as you wake up, you are surrounded by the distant sound of the sea and the cheerful chirping of the many birds in the area. You can walk directly from the house into the Ria Formosa and hike to the island off the coast at low tide.

As there is a river between the accommodation and the beautiful village of Fuseta on the other side, it is very quiet and not touristy. Fuseta is easily accessible on foot or by bike via the salt pans. There are inviting villages and atmospheric towns to visit in the immediate vicinity. Secluded beaches can be found along the offshore islands, which can be reached on foot or by ferry from Fuseta. The varied coastal cycle path leads right past the accommodation.

 

Fuseta itself is an authentic fishing village. It has a cosy atmosphere and nice restaurants, and you can enjoy a wonderful swim here directly in the village or after crossing over to the island off Fuseta, where you will always find a quiet spot on the beach.

 

Tavira (14 km), one of the most picturesque towns in the Algarve, enchants visitors with its Roman bridges, traditional azulejos (tiles) and laid-back flair. Here you can discover numerous churches and enjoy fresh seafood in one of the local restaurants after a walk along the River Gilão.

 

Olhão (12 km) fascinates with its unique charm. Known for its fish market, this coastal town offers an authentic Portuguese experience. Here you can stroll through the mosaic-decorated streets and marvel at the fresh fish on offer in the famous market halls.

 

Faro (20 km) also has a beautiful old town centre to offer. You can also really immerse yourself in the varied nightlife.
